Audrey and Makayla (9 months)

Audrey and Makayla (9 months)

Our little angel Makayla, now 11 months old, was always a great sleeper. But then, at 6 months old we went off the tracks and, as a result, it affected her.

For three months, her sleep routine did not exist. There were endless nights of us rocking her to sleep then, as gently as possible, putting her in her cot - only for her to wake up immediately or within the next half an hour. It got so bad that, between my husband and I, we were getting up for her between 7 and 8 times a night, and at times, she wouldn't go back to sleep. We were all exhausted.

As for the daytime naps, they never existed since that day. Through desperation, I searched the internet and came across Baby Love. What a Godsend!

We attended a workshop and, with mixed emotions, got down to the Baby Love way. WOW!! is all I can say.

It's been two months and all is going well. Initially, we had crying, but we were lucky, as the crying only lasted on average 15 minutes at a time (day and night sleeps). It took Makayla three days to adapt to the new night-time sleep pattern, but a little longer for the daytime naps.

She now goes down for her daytime naps with a BIG SMILE and only protests on odd occasions. However, even when this happens, she only cries for about 30 seconds and then she falls asleep. Makayla adapted to the nighttime sleeping within a day.

After her bath, she spends some quiet time with Mom & Dad, after which we kiss her goodnight, and either one of us puts her to bed. She smiles and waves goodnight to us as we walk out of her room every night!

The routine is going so well that, if for any reason the routine has to be adjusted during the day, she falls right back into it as soon as we are settled again. The night-time routine we definitely try not to disturb. Even my mother, who takes care of her on occasions, knows the routine and does exactly as the Baby Love way states. Now, she can also plan her days accordingly and is much more relaxed with her granddaughter.

I cannot thank Baby Love and our consultant, Charlene De Wet, enough, because they are the reason that my husband, daughter & myself now have peace of mind. We are so relaxed and, as a result, we are happier . . . and Makayla is definitely 100% happier.

Baby Love is the BEST. I have recommended Baby Love to friends of ours who are going through the same problems and worse.
