Dylan Barwood (22 months)

Dylan is 22 months and probably slept through 5 times in his life. I tried everything, from buying baby sleeping books, natural Melatonin and then finally resorted putting him back in our bed every night (but he would still wake and still wanted his milk).

Dylan has an older brother Nathan (3 years) who also has a bad sleeping habit. I would be sleep walking and playing musical beds between my two toddlers at least 5 times a night. When the one wakes up and I'm not next to them, they would come looking for me, and I would take which ever child was awake to the closest open bed and so the nights went on. I thought when is this all going to end if at all and why am I struggling so much when other parents never seem to have such problems. After much despair and feeling that I can't anymore a friend said they saw this advert for something called "Baby-Love" and that it could be worth trying.

I phoned Nikki and she encouraged us to come and see her as soon as possible as our lives can't go on like this. I finally convinced my husband and said that I am at that point where I would try ANY THING if it can help us be a "normal" happy well rested family again.

After our session with Nikki which was filled with laughter, a lot of understanding and sympathy we went through the course and learnt or maybe just hear that it is perfectly ok to do sleep training and that the only people feeling bad about it is us as parents.

After another month of not implementing the sleep training my husband finally agreed and we started one Sunday night, by that Wednesday Dylan was SLEEPING THROUGH and still is. As the Baby-Love programme worked so well with Dylan will have to really consider doing the Toddler-Love to get Nathan in the same good sleeping habit.
