Caden Bruinders (12 months)
I must admit, thanks to your great advice we are healthy and well rested!
It took us just 4 nights after implementing your suggestions to get Caden to sleep better. Since then he has had no problem going to bed at a specific time and waking up when he should. Over weekends he used to fight not to go down for a nap but now he is happy to take a nap while we're busy doing something else in the house. Sometimes he would lie awake in his cot singing for about an hour until he eventually falls asleep but he doesn't cry to get out and play at all. In the evenings we start reading at 7:30pm and then sing a song. By 7:45pm he is in his cot. He used to wake up after 7am but for the last couple of weeks he's been waking up between 6:15am and 7am. The only other thing is that he refuses to go down to sleep if we're not at home. He will not fall asleep at friends' houses. He is starting nursery school on Wednesday and we are moving him into a bed in October. I hope that this will not disrupt his sleeping pattern.
I must thank you, Jacqui. Caden eats well, sleeps well and is a very happy chappy. We are a very happy family and if we're not well rested it's our own fault. My husband and I also get to spend some quality "us" time together. I will definitely come see you for advice again when I expect my second child.
