I met Jacqui in 2016 when we began to sleep train our than 8 month old baby girl. So when we had our second child there was no doubt in my mind that I was going to sleep train her too. This time I decided to start from 4 months. Up to this point we had an erratic napper who would nap anywhere between 30 minutes and 3 hours. It was difficult to be predictable. We began sleep training on a Monday morning; the first day was difficult for both baby and us. There were tears all round. Thereafter it started getting easier. A week down the line she has all her 1.5 hour naps and usually wakes for only one feed in the middle of the night. I am so ecstatic at this change because it means I get to spend more meaningful time with my older daughter. The routine really works and Jacqui is amazing at providing the motivation it requires to persist.

My advice to anyone thinking about doing sleep training is to understand that the first 4 days are the hardest. But it definitely gets much much easier. The four day sacrifice is worth it especially since it means you get a restful night's sleep.
